Meet Katie, Mother of 4 wonderful children and Battle Sisters member at BattleGrounds Fitness since 2020.
What Katie likes best about our ladies-only small group classes is how the coaches really get to know you and help you get more out of each class by modifying the workout to your individual needs.
One of Katie's recent achievements was staying in our ladies-only class throughout her entire pregnancy last year. "It was a goal of mine and I was really proud to say I worked out the entire 9 months - up until 2 days before my baby was born. My goals are to keep it up and stay active postpartum - and maybe be able to do box jumps again. Training helped me so much during my pregnancy! It gave me so much energy throughout the day and helped alleviate some common pregnancy aches and pains. Now that I'm postpartum I still love the energy boost from working out and just the health benefits overall!"
Our ladies-only small group class is the one consistent thing Katie makes time for as a Mom of 4, and she loves how BattleGrounds Fitness is so family friendly. Being able to bring her kids along is the only way she's able to work out.
"If I could go back in time I would make sure to tell myself how much I love working out in a class setting! Before starting the class, I initially thought I wasn't going to like group classes and that I would prefer a gym where I just do my own thing. Now that I've done the class for a while I absolutely love working out alongside friends and great coaches. It's super encouraging and keeps me motivated, and everyone at the gym is great about cheering each other along."
